NestEgg Health was born from a hard, real-world observation: too many people spend their working lives focused on building a nest egg of wealth to secure their financial future, only to encounter the onset of chronic illness—or worse—just as they reach the point where they expect to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
We believe there should be equal emphasis, and meaningful support from employers, to help people build a nest egg of health during their working lives—turns out wealth without health is not that great.
A “nest egg” is something you build gradually, protect over time, and rely on in the future—and health works the same way. It isn’t created through one big effort or a short-term fix, but through small, consistent habits that compound over years.
NestEgg brings this idea to life by helping people invest in their future health through regular exercise, powered by community, accountability, and a bit of fun—so no egg is left behind.
Because it is the closest thing we’ve got to a miracle drug — boosting brainpower, mood, metabolism, and longevity. Exercise has the power to reduce risk of chronic disease by up to 50%. It’s the most powerful thing a person can do for their health.
BUT: Everyone knows this. The problem is how do you motivate people to exercise. That’s were we come in.
NestEgg Health began with a single insight—and a bit of frustration.
Despite all the corporate wellness initiatives, despite all the step challenges and subsidised gym memberships, one thing remained stubbornly true: most people still weren’t exercising enough. Not consistently. Not joyfully.
Not in a way that actually lasted.
We saw this not just in the research—but in real life. In offices. On Zoom calls. In the mirror.
The science was crystal clear: regular exercise is the closest thing we have to a miracle drug. It prevents dementia, diabetes, depression, heart disease—reducing the risk of each by up to 50%. And yet, most adults don’t come close to meeting the recommended 150 minutes a week. Why? Because exercise as it's traditionally prescribed—top-down, guilt-driven, one-size-fits-all—is broken.
So, we flipped the script.

NestEgg was founded to reimagine the journey to wellbeing. Not as a solo grind, but as a shared adventure. We built a platform where movement is measured relative to you, where effort counts more than performance, and where even the least likely participant—the doubtful 65-year-old — can outrank a “spring-chicken” marathoner. (And she did.)
We borrowed from golf handicaps, behavioural science, and a splash of playful rebel attitude to create something new: a workplace exercise community, not just a challenge. A flock, not a fitness cult. A program where every Egg has a chance to truly win - not just on the challenge leaderboard but on the health leaderboard —and no Egg is left behind.
NestEgg isn’t just about physical activity. It’s about feeling good, belonging, sharing journeys and building a habit that sticks.Because your health is your wealth. And we’re here to help you build a NestEgg of it.

For more than 40 years, I helped build companies in the tech industry—fast-moving, high-pressure environments filled with smart, driven people. Like many founders and CEOs, I lived the standard playbook: long hours, constant travel, young children at home, and an unspoken belief that health could wait.
I told myself I’d focus on my health after the business was built. After financial security. After things slowed down.
Life had other plans.
Shortly after turning 40, my doctor delivered a blunt wake-up call: if I didn’t change course, I might not make it to 60. In that moment, everything I was working so hard for—family, freedom, the future—felt suddenly fragile.
I had to change. And that meant exercise.
At first, it felt overwhelming. But I was fortunate in one critical way: I had friends who were already physically active. They didn’t lecture me or pressure me. They simply pulled me into their world. They made space for me. They showed up—and expected me to show up too.
That changed everything.
Exercise stopped feeling like something I should do and became something I wanted to do. I looked forward to it. I didn’t want to let the group down. And over time, my energy, focus, motivation, and health transformed completely.
Today, at 60, I’m fitter, sharper, and more motivated than I was 20 years ago. I’m deeply grateful—for the wake-up call, and for the community that made change possible.
But not everyone gets that chance.
Over the past few years, I’ve watched too many friends and colleagues—people with hugely successful careers and bright futures—receive devastating diagnoses: advanced heart disease, diabetes, cancer, early-onset Alzheimer’s. Some didn’t get a second chance at all.
It forced a difficult question into focus:
What’s the point of spending a career building a financial nest eggif you don’t have the health to enjoy it?
And as a company leader, another question followed just as clearly:
Why do we put so much structure, support, and priority behind financial wellbeing at work—but leave health almost entirely to chance?
That was the spark for NestEgg Health.
We built NestEgg to help people build their health nest egg during their working years—consistently, socially, and in a way that actually fits real life. Not through guilt, pressure, or one-off wellness initiatives, but by embedding exercise into community, identity, and shared experience.
Because health isn’t something you “get to” later. It’s the foundation that lets you keep showing up—for your work, your family, and your life.
NestEgg exists to help people show up with energy, motivation, and mental focus today, while building the health that lets them truly enjoy the life they’re working so hard to create.
No Egg Left Behind.

Health and fitness have always been at the heart of my life. That really became clear when I left Ireland to attend college in the U.S. on a golf scholarship. I studied there while competing in NCAA Division 1 golf, and those years had a huge influence on me. It was in that environment that I began to understand how important structured training, mobility, and movement really were, not just for performance, but for long-term wellbeing.
As I moved into professional golf, I saw how strength training and smart movement were becoming more valued, not just inside the sport, but across the board. There was a shift happening, and I was drawn to it. I started to think about how I could bring that same mindset to more people, especially those who were passionate about golf but maybe hadn’t been exposed to modern fitness approaches.
That led me to launch Golf STRONG, a fitness community built specifically for golfers. It was never just about training, it was about creating a space where people could come together, move better, fell better and ultimately play better. I worked with both elite athletes and everyday players, and what I kept hearing, especially from people in the corporate world, was that what they were being offered in their workplaces just wasn’t cutting it. It felt disconnected from their real lives and real needs.
When I met Donal, it was obvious we were on the same page. We both saw the gap between what was being provided and what people actually needed to build sustainable health habits. We shared the same drive to make a difference, not just in performance, but in quality of life. Very quickly, those early conversations turned into something more focused, more ambitious.
That’s when the work on NestEgg Health really began.
