Why we're Flocking up Corporate Wellness

Why We're Flocking Up Corporate Wellness

No Egg Left Behind

It started with a conversation.

We were talking to friends, colleagues, teammates — all of them from different industries and walks of life. We asked them what they thought about corporate wellness. And the answers? Almost identical.

“Step challenge.”
“5K run.”
“Team hike.”

Everyone just gave a variation of the same thing, followed by a shrug.

That shrug was the spark.

Because for us — people who live and breathe movement, who’ve competed at high levels, who know what it means to push and pull and chase and recover — that shrug meant something big: this whole space felt tired. Flat. Vanilla.

And more importantly — it wasn’t working for everyone.

The Problem We Saw (And Felt)

Let’s call it what it is: most corporate wellness programs are a “check-the-box” exercise. Maybe HR rolls something out once a quarter. Maybe someone passionate inside the company drives a bit more. But inevitably, someone’s left behind.

It’s the colleague who works out at 6am five days a week and doesn’t need a 10,000-step challenge to stay active.
It’s the person who wants to get moving, but a 5K? That’s not where they’re at — not yet.
It’s the new parent juggling nap schedules. The introvert who doesn’t want to hike with coworkers. The weekend warrior. The casual walker.

And let’s be honest: sometimes, wellness just doesn’t feel fun. Or relevant. Or even possible with the reality of work and life.

The Concept Behind Nest Egg Health

We started thinking — what if we could reframe the entire thing?

Everyone spends their career building up their financial nest egg. But what about their health? Why can’t those two things grow together — side by side, with the same care and attention?

That’s when Nest Egg Health was born.

We decided to build something radically simple:

  • No rules about how you move.
  • No pressure to fit into one version of fitness.
  • No one left behind.

All we ask is that you move — your way.

Why Wearables Are the Key

We realized that with wearables, the game had already changed. More and more people are wearing them — watches, rings, straps — all quietly tracking heart rate, movement, recovery.

In fact, according to recent numbers, around 83 million people in the U.S. now use smart wearables to monitor their health. And that number’s growing fast.

So we thought — why not build a system around that?
One that doesn’t force everyone into the same mould, but uses real data from your own device to measure your activity. Not steps. Not distance. Just effort.

Our Index: The Game Changer

As golfers, we were always drawn to the handicap system — it levels the playing field so anyone can compete, no matter their ability.

That inspired our Nest Egg Index.

It scores each person’s activity based on their own heart rate, fitness level, and ability — so someone doing a 6am CrossFit class and someone taking a weekend walk can both compete. Fairly.

Because what matters to us isn’t how fast you run.
It’s that you move. And you enjoy it. And maybe — just maybe — have a bit of fun doing it.

What This Means for Employers

For companies, this takes the pressure off. No need to reinvent wellness programs every quarter. No need to force everyone into doing the same thing, that never works!

Just give people the space to move in a way that works for them. Our platform does the rest — tracking, scoring, gamifying, and creating a shared sense of purpose without ever demanding everyone show up in the same way.

Some people will want to be social and do things together. Others will want to quietly do their thing before or after work. We make space for both.

So Why Are We Flocking Up the System?

Because it wasn’t working.

Because people were getting left out.

Because wellness should be personal, inclusive, simple — and actually enjoyable.

Because we believe that whether you’re training for a marathon or just getting back into walking around the block, you should be part of the movement. You should feel welcome. And your effort should count.

This is how we believe corporate wellness should be done.

No egg left behind.
